Overview
We are building a qualified pool of MA Substitute Instructors to provide theory and clinical instruction across multiple Inland Empire campuses. This role is on-call and activated only when classes are in session to support coverage needs
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, healthcare education, and clinical instruction, with the ability to effectively teach adult learners in various healthcare settings. This role involves delivering comprehensive MA training, supervising students, and ensuring they meet the required competencies for certification. The position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate both teaching responsibilities and clinical expertise, contributing to the development of future healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
• Deliver MA theory instruction following the approved syllabus
• Support student learning and academic success
• Maintain accurate attendance and instructional records
• Communicate availability for substitute assignments
Requirements
• Medical Assistant certification and/or relevant healthcare experience
• Teaching or training experience preferred
• Knowledge of California laws governing delegation of medical tasks
• Ability to maintain accurate student and training records
Schedule Example
• Theory: M–F, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Lab support (if applicable): T & Th, 1:00 PM–4:30 PM
